Advanced Technology Contributes to a Seamless Experience
Reliable & Cost-Effective
How the Process Works
The NU Smile Aligners process is similar to what you might expect from
Invisalign. First, Dr. G will evaluate your candidacy for the treatment and
will answer any questions you have about it. If you decide to move forward
with the NU Smile Aligners protocol, you can expect your journey to go
something like this:
Your aligners will be fabricated based on highly detailed scans of your
teeth and jaw.
You’ll wear each aligner for 20 – 22 hours each day for about
two weeks. Each aligner will apply gentle pressure to your teeth and move
them little by little. After you work your way through your entire series
of aligners, you will be the proud owner of a gorgeously straight smile.
You will need to visit our office for periodic checkups so we can ensure
your treatment process is going as planned.
Once you finish with the treatment protocol, we’ll provide you with
a retainer to keep your teeth in their new places.
Advantages of Choosing NU Smile Aligners
When you choose NU Smile aligners, you will enjoy numerous benefits,
including:
Just like Invisalign, our aligners are discreet enough that they
won’t call a lot of attention to themselves.
It’s easy to remove your aligners, so you can eat whatever you want
and clean your teeth without having to navigate around any orthodontic
appliances.
Cost-effectiveness. Our in-house aligners streamline the
orthodontic process and can reduce your out of pocket costs.
Dr. G carefully designs the aligners to ensure that they fit well and will
not irritate the soft tissues in your mouth.
If you ever accidentally damage or lose one of our aligners, professional
assistance is just a phone call away.
Who Is a Candidate for NU Smile Aligners?
Our aligners are capable of addressing most types of mild to moderate dental
misalignment. Rotated teeth, crooked teeth, gaps between the teeth, crowded
teeth, overbite, underbite, and crossbite are all examples of issues that NU
Smile Aligners may be a fit for. Anyone who commits to this treatment should
have excellent oral hygiene habits and be confident that they will wear
their aligners as much as recommended. The NU Smile Aligners protocol is not
recommended for children because their jaws are still developing.

Understanding the Cost of NU Smile Aligners
Clear aligners are an excellent way to straighten your teeth without the hassle of metal wires and brackets. Not only are they incredibly discreet, but NU Smile aligners are more affordable than you think. While there's no fixed price for this orthodontic treatment, we are committed to making a straighter smile accessible to everyone. We provide several financial options to help you invest in your oral health and self-esteem without straining your budget.
Factors that Affect the Cost of NU Smile Aligners
Every patient’s smile is unique, which is why it’s impossible to create a one-size-fits-all treatment plan. Several factors will determine your total cost. During your consultation, we’ll examine your mouth and develop a custom treatment plan to address your bite and alignment issues. We'll explain the fees associated with your plan and provide an estimate based on the following:
Preliminary Procedures – Some patients may need to undergo preliminary work, such as tooth-colored fillings or gum disease treatment, before getting NU Smile Aligners.
Number of Arches – The estimate will cover the costs of treating one or both arches.
Complexity – Significant tooth movements will require more aligners, which will increase the overall cost.
NU Smile Aligners vs. Invisalign: Which Costs More?
When comparing NU Smile Aligners and Invisalign, NU Smile Aligners are the clear winner in terms of cost. Priced at just $2,500 for a comprehensive treatment, NU Smile Aligners cost about a quarter of what you would pay for Invisalign. This flat fee includes all the aligners you need, ensuring that the price remains consistent regardless of the treatment’s complexity. Additionally, NU Smile Aligner offers expert care and support with regular checkups every 6-8 weeks.
For those concerned about affordability, NU Smile provides financing options at $110 per month for 24 months. Plus, NU Smile Aligners are proudly made in New Jersey, ensuring high quality and supporting local manufacturing. This helps save both time and money for our patients!
Does Dental Insurance Cover NU Smile Aligners?
Most dental insurance plans include orthodontic coverage. While dental insurance won't cover the entire treatment cost, you can use your benefits to reduce expenses for specific aspects of your plan, such as the consultation. Depending on your coverage, you may receive a set allowance toward the cost after meeting your deductible. We will work with your dental insurance provider to maximize your benefits, helping you stay within your budget.
Options for Making NU Smile Aligners Affordable
In addition to utilizing your dental insurance, we provide several options to make NU Smile Aligners more affordable:
Dental Membership Plan – Join our in-house dental membership plan to enjoy reduced rates on common services after an annual membership fee. You can choose between our three options depending on your needs.
Special Offers – We proudly offer several specials on a regular basis, including for NU Smile Aligners.
Third-Party Financing – Spread out the cost of your treatment with monthly installments through a third-party financing company like CareCredit.
Nu Smile Aligners FAQs
Nu Smile clear aligner treatment can seem like a big commitment, so it is understandable if you want to gather as much information as possible before you move forward with it. Below, you will find answers to some relevant FAQs. If your specific questions are not addressed here, reach out to our team directly. We look forward to assisting you!
What Do Nu Smile Aligners Look Like?
Nu Smile Aligners are made of thin, clear plastic. They are not completely invisible when they are on the teeth. They might make your teeth look a bit bigger than usual. However, they do not call a lot of attention to themselves. You can expect to be able to smile with confidence throughout your treatment!
If you need any accessories for your Nu Smile Aligners, they will not be clear. However, they are usually not placed directly at the front of the mouth, so in most cases, they are very discreet as well.
How Long Do Nu Smile Aligners Take?
The length of Nu Smile Aligner treatment varies from case to case. When you visit us for a consultation, we will be able to provide a timeline estimate. Most patients need to wear their aligners for a total of 12 – 18 months. However, some cases can take as few as 6 months, while others require more than 18 months.
The biggest determining factor in how long your treatment will take is the extent and complexity of your dental misalignment.
Does Nu Smile Aligners Hurt?
We carefully craft Nu Smile Aligners so they rest comfortably against the mouth’s soft tissues. There are no metal brackets and wires to irritate you!
However, it is important to remember that orthodontic treatment works by applying pressure to the teeth. Naturally, that can cause some discomfort, which may be at its worst when you switch to a new aligner. You can manage this issue by taking over-the-counter pain relievers and sipping on cool water. It may also be helpful to start wearing a new aligner at night, so you can sleep through the initial part of the adjustment period.
What Happens After Nu Smile Aligners?
Once you work your way through all of your aligners, our team will provide you with a retainer. A retainer’s job is to keep your teeth in place so they do not drift back into their former positions.
At first, you may need to wear your retainer full-time, keeping it in your mouth for 20 – 22 hours each day. Eventually, you may need to wear it only at night. After some time, a few nights of retainer wear each week may be all that is necessary.
