Dr. Admasu Gizachew
Dr. Gizachew (called Dr. G by his patients) works hard to create life-changing experiences in the hopes of bettering his community – one patient at a time. He strongly believes that a thorough look can help arm people with the tools needed to practice proper oral healthcare at home, which is why he often spends upwards of two hours with new arrivals. Why Did You Want to
Become a Dentist?
Dr. G recognized the need for hyper-focused oral healthcare long before he ever attended dental school. In fact, this passion started at a young age! When he was just 13 years old, he wasn’t able to find the right dentist for his unique needs, even after multiple visits to multiple dental offices. This led to him becoming genuinely fascinated with the career, even though his professional path didn’t lead to it just yet. Instead, he became enthralled with scientific research (particularly regarding skin cancer) and even taught at a university for a few years. The seed of interest had already been planted, though, and before long, he was enrolling in an elite dental program. The rest is history.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. G pursued his dental doctorate at New York University, where he was introduced to the new way in dentistry. His mentor told him that the future was dental implants, and he took that advice seriously. Following graduation, he completed two years of state-of-the-art dental implant training at Rutgers University, as well as residencies at Bellevue, Gouverneur, NYU, and Coler-Goldwater hospitals. He found himself accepting a position as a clinical director, which involved training others in implants and cosmetic dentistry – but eventually, he realized that the only way to provide the high level of care he believed in was to open his very own dental office. The doors of his first building opened in 2018 – and today, he has three separate dental offices, with a fourth opening in late 2020!
Today, Dr. G has nabbed Top Dentist awards in New Jersey and New York many years in a row, and currently logs almost 300 hours of continuing education each year. Science is moving fast these days, and he believes in always working on his professional development through trainings, medical journals, and other avenues. This commitment is reflected in his dental office's revolutionary technology, including a soft tissue diode laser, digital impressions, and much more. In recent years, he’s studied BOTOX, dermal fillers, PDO thread lifts, and TMJ/orofacial pain trigger point injections through the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics. Office, What Do You
Like to Do?
At home, Dr. G and his wife have four kids, as well as a dog. While he stays busy with studying dental implants and esthetics, even outside of working hours, he really enjoys taking his children on camping trips when the weather allows.
